FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is very important to sit down with your attorney and ask very basic, thorough questions. What do I get for my fee? Will I be able to talk with you after retention, or will I be relegated to a paralegal, associate attorney, or case manager? What do you consider a "win" for a DUI? What is the weakest and strongest points of my case?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That it is very rewarding, and very hard work. Each case must be treated like an end within itself, and each case deserves thorough examination of all discovery (prosecutorial documents they must disclose)- including discovery other attorneys may not be aware of. The glamorous life of an attorney is a myth. Senior attorneys that I admire say the same thing, "this job would be easy if I didn't do it right." Too many DUI and criminal defense attorneys do not do it right, and they are missing out on a very rewarding career.
