Timestack Art and Photography

Timestack images are natural patterns showing 20-30 seconds of time in a single abstract image created from video frames. For years each day, I've used an image processing technique that processes video for scientific research and analysis of surf zones and waves around the world. I'm applying that here in new ways, on new subjects to produce abstract artworks. Artist Statement: "I am interested in using the hundreds of frames in a moment of video that may be taken for granted or missed by the eye. I combine small extractions from each of a video's individual frames as they are captured by the camera. The different subjects and varied lighting create unique photographic images and offer a beautiful representation of life over time."
