When my son and his fiancée decided to have a destination wedding in New York's Central Park, my mind started racing with all the details that would have to be handled from home base in Charlotte, NC...not the least of which was finding an experienced photographer to capture this special day. We were soooo lucky to find Tory Rust through Thumbtack. Tory is professional, talented, and so nice to work with! She helped us scope out a site for the wedding, made welcomed recommendations, and stayed in touch at all times. On the big day, she was there right on time and began capturing those wonderful 'pre-ceremony' rituals that make the day memorable. Throughout the ceremony, she was busy shooting, but somehow managed to stay in the background...I suspect some Ninja training! Afterwards, she made us all feel at ease during the family photo shoots, which included both 'serious' shots and moments when we were being our silly selves. She followed up with some very romantic photos of the new bride and groom in various locations throughout the park's Shakespeare Garden. We are all so pleased with the work she did for us, and I can absolutely recommend her to others without reservation. If I could give her six stars, I would!

I began our wedding planning while I was still living in Mexico, and planning a wedding that would take place in NYC while being away quickly became stressful. My fiancé and I thought about cutting costs by asking one of our friends to photograph our wedding, when we hit a dead end I decided to venture out to find a professional photographer, and know I can certify that is ALWAYS better to have a professional do it.
I was nervous to hire someone whom Ive never met before, but I was amazingly lucky to find Tory. Apart from being a complete professional, she is also very creative and fun, needless to say our wedding photos came out beautiful. It was a pleasure having her at our special day; she helped me by making everybody feel comfortable. She took amazing photos of my husband and I, the obligatory family portraits and great spontaneous shoots capturing the spirit of the party. 5 STARS.

Tory was beyond what we could have ever hoped for. She truly is a master of her craft and we we're just blown away by the quality of her work. Tory also blended in very well with the other guests while she captured every detail (which is so, so important). Everyone loved her. I would, hands down, recommend hiring Tory for your wedding and engagement!
