Marc was outstanding! I was on a deadline and he built the partition walls I needed for my shop , all the framing and sheetrock was completed in one day. He also came back a week later to finish the flooring job that someone else installed incorrectly and it looks amazing! I highly Recommend Marc, the quality of his work is outstanding. I would not hesitate to hire Marc for all future projects.

Marc seems to be agood guy and might be, but there was no follow through. He quoted me $1,800ish for a new fence and while he was out at the site, I mentioned another gut rehab that I was working on aquiring and he toured it and went out of his way to try and get the job as our new GC, but when I was unable to use him (for our own reasons) he got mad and told us to find someone else for the fence (that he felt like we were wasting his time). Later, I encountered a hiccup with my current GC and contacted Marc to see if he could take over the project. And after getting to an amical scope of work and quote he said he would get me the contract by that coming Wednesday, but disappeared and left me hanging. Bottom line is that Marc quotes excellent prices and boasts excellent past jobs, but he's unreliable if he can't even email a document or communicate with someone who really wanted to work with him.
Triad Building and Development's reply
A year ago this client asked me to bid a fence for him which I did immediately, he never asked me to I stall the fence, then at the same time he took me to two other properties and asked me to quote gut re-habs on both of the homes, after spending a month or more going over every detail on the jobs, he then informed me that he had a contractor that he planned on using on the one house and to continue with pricing for the second. I submitted the quote for the second house and he informed me after spending all of this time working out every other detail, that he would need me to "front" him $50,000.00 (by way of labor and materials) because his financial backers would not committ to the project unless he brought it to a certain point. I explained to him,in several choice words, that this "detail" was much more important than most everything else we discussed and had he disclosed this during our first meeting, it would, have saved both of us numerous hours. 7 months later he called me to ask me to complete the same job, I asked if he had the money to fund the project and he said that he did, I asked him about his contractor that he had hired and he explained to me that " we don't have a contract and I can get rid of him at any time, I just need to cut about $40,000.00 from the budget". These are not usually words a contractor like to hear nor is this the kind of person I like to deal with. I am always honest and my pricing is more than fair and on time just as my work. I'm not sure why, since he didn't even hire me, would he take the time to write anything but that may say something about the kind of person I could have wound up dealing with. Please look at all my other reviews and If you're interested I've got a long list of clients that would be happy to contradict his review. Thanks Marc

Marc clearly has a broad set of a rather very granular building/construction/remodeling/etc. skill set. We hired Marc to install a few kitchen cabinets that were custom built to the vacant space above and around our refrigerator. He has a keen eye which he utilizes to help point out issues of concern/benefit/consideration to the customer. He is very professional, very friendly to house pets (haha), and cleans up well after the work is completed. And finally, his pricing is as competitive as you will find (I shopped around the Chicagoland area quite a bit). I would absolutely recommend Mark and his team to anyone looking for fixes or upgrades on your home. In fact, we will very likely bring Marc back to continue assessing our damaged roof/leaking issue which he evaluated for us before even beginning the work on the cabinets! And one last thing, which I think is very important as a customer: Marc is extremely flexible with his scheduling. Anyone looking to have work performed on their home/property knows how difficult it can be to find someone willing to work with your schedule - even if it means evenings. Brian

Details: Kitchen • 1-5 • No, my cabinets are already assembled • No existing cabinets to remove or I will remove them myself • Residential
