Bethesda Physiocare

Bethesda Physiocare is a unique physical therapy practice in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. It is unique because we have specialized in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with challenging pain problems, such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and chronic pain syndromes including fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, pelvic pain, TMD (temporomandibular pain syndromes), migraine and tension-type headaches, whiplash-related problems, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), among others. We also specialize in performing arts physical therapy with an emphasis on musicians. It is also unique because our therapists are leaders in the technique of dry needling. Owner Dr. Jan Dommerholt has introduced dry needling to physical therapists in the US and several other countries through his continuing education company Myopain Seminars. He is recognized as one of the most prominent dry needling and myofascial pain specialists in the world. All physical therapists at Bethesda Physiocare (Dr. Michelle Finnegan and Dr.. Maria Arini) utilize dry needling as part of our comprehensive approach.
