FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Maintaining an active certification as a American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer requires that I do continuing education to remain current in the field. I personally make it a point to attend additional webinars, seminars and classes conducted by other fitness professionals, along with reading a host of periodicals in print and on the web geared toward health, fitness and nutrition.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My decision to become a personal trainer is the result of years of involvement in sports and physical fitness, along with my truly enjoying helping others. It seemed a natural progression as my wife and I owned a gym that she taught the group exercise classes in. I gradually became more involved in providing the services and have loved being able to positively impact the lives of our clients.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish potential customers knew how passionate I am about what I do. I wish that they knew that my goal is to work with them on creating a fitness plan that is uniquely theirs, focused specifically on their exercise preferences, fitness level and availability. Lastly, I wish that they were aware that my excitement at their success in improving their health and fitness is entirely honest and genuine.
