I am creating business opportunities throughout the IE. I haven't used Thumbtack much, but I am under the impression that Thumbtack connects the clients with contractors and charges the contractors for that services. In this case, the contractor will be bidding to take the job from me. So, they have no interaction with the client until they reach the house. It is similar to what some people on this sub are doing, but rather than assign the job to a contractor, all contractors have a chance to bid. Also, I would hope that the contractors are more competitive with what percentage they charge for.
