I love my job and people love that! My attention to detail and great sound and light systems and knowledge of a huge Variety of songs and styles are often cited by satisfied clients. Can't decide on using a live band or a DJ - maybe want to include some karaoke? You can have all these options at an affordable rate. I will simply be your Dj or create the perfect combination of entertainment for your event guaranteed! If the space is small and the budget limited no problem - my solo band performance and DJ/KJ combo will fit perfectly. If you space and budget are larger than I can add musicians. A professional sound and shows that include all styles - requests and crowd interaction add to the fun. Always with a full band sound that's never too loud and fits on your patio or dining area (or on a large stage at your festival, corporate party or wedding). I'm originally from Portland and back in the area after performing for extended periods in Florida, California, Hawaii, and Austin Texas. I hired Phil on for my wedding in Siesta Key, and he was my favorite part of our wedding. Working with him was easy and turned out to be the least stressful aspect of planning the wedding. Outside of giving him a timeline and music requests ahead of time, we had very limited contact with him the morning of and yet everything went smoothly, so I am sure he took care of details that I didn't even know needed to be taken care of. His live music was beautiful and lively, and the DJing for the reception was exactly what we had asked for. He also went above and beyond and he perfectly blended three songs into one for our first dance. Best of all, he fit into our budget! I would absolutely hire him again! Thanks Phil!

Phil was amazing! We had a beech theme party and Phil deliver! He started with singing and playing steel drum and other instruments. Then he brought down the house transitioning to a DJ. 5 hours a great entertainment. It was a 50th birthday part celebration and thanks to Phil it was a success. Thanks again Phil!!

Phil was incredibly flexible to work with. He even learned some songs for our special event of 200+ people. He and his partner played a variety of instruments (violin, steel drum, keyboard, ukulele) for a great mix of music. Would love to hire them again for any future events.

Phil was responsive and easy to work with. He was totally on top of all the details, making coordination and planning a breeze on our side. The sound quality was great (nice speakers, amps, mics, etc). Phil was also wonderfully flexible with how we used our time: for part, he played well selected background music while we were eating dinner, facilitated our white elephant exchange, and then did a great job with accommodating songs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing music performances can be a bit confusing. There are obvious factors like hours and travel, set-up and prime time slots like Saturday night being more valuable. Giving the right quote can depend on good information from the client and I prefer to set a price after a personal consultation. Getting a deposit insures both parties of an important commitment to an important event/date.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk and email details, collaborate on playlists and set-up. I will link vidoes and songs lists to tailor the party to the unique needs of the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Music and Film/Communications from Stanford University. i have been a full-time musician and performer for over 40 years since graduating from stanford in 1979.
