Introduction: Couples tell me that I have a way of delivering the ceremony with such feeling and emotion that it truly touches their hearts and that of their guests. I also provide so much more than just a ceremony. I become the person they go to for questions, ideas, coordinating, rehearsal, day-of situations, etiquette, and so much more. The bride and groom almost always HUG me goodbye, rather than a hand shake. :) I love meeting so many fun and interesting people. Some of my best friends I met through performing their wedding. Guests and family members that still keep in touch with me through email, referrals from people who attended a wedding I performed, brides call me when they first find out they are expecting their first baby or send me photos as their family grows. Of course many couples I never see again but others may stay in my life forever. There is always a reason why our paths in life crossed.

Can you believe Bev has married me 3 times! Yes! But all to the same man. We had hired Bev to marry us originally on 7/7/07. We planned a small wedding at the Rose Hite Memorial Gardens in Milwaukie. It was held under the pavillion to a small group of friends and family. It was lovely. Bev was very professional. She included a very special part of the ceremony where our children came up and combined different colored sand into a vessel that we could use as a candle holder. We have the candle holder sitting on our mantel to this day, surrounded by the individual different colored glasses of sand that contributed to the final showpiece. We light the candle all the time and remember how special it was when we blended our families. But! Before our 7/7/07 public wedding, we officially married on 6/3/07, which happened to be the anniversary of our first date. It was about 4 days before that day and I was calling to finalize some things for the July ceremony and I asked her if she could accommodate our request to marry us sooner. And she said yes! So off to the courthouse we went to get our marriage license. We each invited one person to "stand up for us" and be our witness, but we didn't let them know we were getting married. Just doing a walk through and wanted their opinion. They were both so surprised! We got married under a small archway in the rose garden itself. Then, on our first anniversary, plus one day, we had Bev complete our committment to each other in a special ceremony that combined Pagen and Christian rituals. We started under the archway exactly opposite where we married the year before, and said some personal things. Then we went next door to the oak grounds of the church next door to complete our ceremony. This time it was just Bev and us two. She was very accommodating to our preferences for this combined ceremony. We couldn't have asked for a better day. And the bonus to all this is that her daughter and she also took pictures for us. She artfully arranged them into a CD and bound photo album for us. Bev is great for honoring whatever you want to express your special day. I wouldn't hesitate to call on her again when we are ready to renew our vows. Kim and Henry Sanchez
