- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are involved in many local and national Wedding Officiant groups as well as online groups. This gives us access to ideas that other officiants have, as well as allows us a place to bounce ideas off of other experienced officiants. For example, if you want to do something to honor a particular experience, family member, military, or other, we can ask around and see what worked for others. Rev. Michelle is also a certified Marriage Educator and offers pre-wedding marriage education classes.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We perform many elopements, big and small ceremonies at our client's locations - from hot air balloons, to bluffs in the Dells, and even your childhood backyard! Most of our couples choose the traditional style for the "style", not the content. Our content can be spiritual or completely without any religious reference. We let you tell us what is best for you.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring an officiant, make sure that the person you choose is experienced, professional, has longevity in your area, and has a good reputation with other wedding vendors. Ask your wedding planner or facility if they have heard of the officiant you are looking to hire. We often get calls at the last minute that the person they hired at a "really good price" isn't replying to their email or calls, and they now need someone to save them. That really good price turns into stress and possibly a ruined wedding day. Officiants are the most important part of your day, and absolutely worth the small amount of money you pay in the scope of the whole wedding budget. a good fit and will work with you in the style that you want. When there is a connection to your officiant, your guests, family and friends feel it and will remember how special your ceremony way.
