Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Most people want the american classic six foot table.
They never ask about other sizes or styles.
Some styles may be pricey.
But other sizes on the other hand can be a better buy.
Small changes can really beautify the table of your choice with out a large change in price.
The american classic six foot is made entirely
out of 2" x 4" treated lumber.
Just changing the table top boards or the seats to a 6" or 8" board can make a big difference in the look of that table.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Think of what you really want, size, style, painted or not?
How many people will you have at your party's?
How much do you want to spend on a picnic table?
You should call for a price quote.
Because you will not believe what you can get for so little.
All of my tables are hand made to order.
By a local craftsman.
All solid wood and will last a life time.
Any style or size you prefer.
{tallahassee area}
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Plastic will crack and break. Steal will rust Painted or stained treated wood last for a long long time. Not prepackaged or self assemble. what I do can not be found in any retail store.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. {price} is it competitive to retail stores? {construction} how well is it made? {production} are these mass produced?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. What they are looking for in a picnic table.
How much are they willing to spend on the size they want.
Is the quality of what they are buying top noch for the price they are spending.
What other options do they have in this field and what is the quality of the other options out there.
Will the man doing the work work with you or will he just make you one more number in his book.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I give personal attention to each and every customer.
Never will you get the run around on an automated answering service or be put on hold for any length of time.
If you should go to voice mail you will be called back in less than thirty minutes.
I work with only the best of materials and aways look to save you "the customer" money without skimping on what is needed for the job.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Meeting new people and making them a happy customer for a posible return visit.
If i can not give you "the customer" the very best price for your money i will be glad to tell you who can.
But to this day i never ever had to do so.
There is nothing like the smile on your face when the job is done before time is due and you know you got the best quality for the least amount of money out there.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What sizes do you offer and how fast can you do this in?
well I tell them I offer all sizes, shapes and styles.
All colors of paint if need be.
All shades of stain they could want.
But most of all is the look on there face when I tell them that they can have it in one day if they need it that fast.
Painted or stained takes a little longer.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. A man "john" called me one day about nine a.m. and asked if I could build him a table.
So we talked it over and decided on a ten foot
picnic table made completely out of two by eight prime treated lumber.
I gave him a price and he was very happy with it.
Then he hit me with the low down.
His wifes birthday was the next day and he would like to have it by then if possible and could he pick it up on his lunch hour?
Well I told him to call me about an hour before he came just to make sure I didn't need more time.
The next morning he called as he said he would.
All I had to say to him was it has been ready since last night come and get it.
He was a very happy young man!
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I take pride in what I do and make many long lasting friends doing it.
It is getting harder and harder to find something made of high quality at a good price now a days.
Big business is trying to take over and under cut
the small business man.
But what you get from them is a cheap price for a "cheap product"....
Dont cut the small business man out.
Thats where YOUR quality comes from.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I like to meet people face to face and make them happy.
Working one on one with the public is the best way to get to know your community
