FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read quite a few articles and books which deal with translation. The most effective is to keep in touch with current events. Conversation, newspapers, magazines, radio, tv. The language has evolved in the time that I've been using it as a medium.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like it too much not to.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Understand that the teacher can only bring 50 percent to the table. The rest is up to the learner. Translation work, though it must be kept objective in the rendering of content from the source into the target language, is a very personal endeavor. The completion of each project is personal satisfaction to me and usually one less obstacle for the customer.
