Introduction: I walk dogs; pet sit; and provide animal care to cats, dogs, and equines for those who have busy lives or are not physically able. I also give medication whether oral, topical, or injectable to animals whose owners have difficulty performing these needed procedures. I care for people's pets in their homes while they are away, and I transport animals to and from the groomers or to pet hospitals for appointments and procedures. I also provide exercise and companion sessions which are basically an hour or up to three hours of human contact. Dogs, cats, ferrets, and small exotics get playtime. Equines get arena time, rub downs, or hit the trails. Walking Rates 30 minute walk: $15.00 60 minute walk: $25.00 90 minute walk: $35.00 Payment Options Option 1: Pay in full at the beginning of the month and you get a 10% discount on that months bill. For new customers only.So you actually pay $378. Option 2: Split payments and pay $210 by the 7th and the remaining $210 by the 21st. You can apply a listed discount to either the first or second payment but not both. Discounts are only good for the first month for new customers only.

Christina has done 2 full time sits at our house, with our 10 year old Airedale, one 6 days and one 5 days. She is with him about 20-22 hours of the day and cares for his every need - including feeding, walking, exercising, play-time and affection-time. We don't feed him canned or dried dog food so she prepares his food as well, the same way we do. We love our dog, and short of our being there with him Christina is the absolute best. We know that he well cared for and well loved. It makes our away time even more enjoyable.

I'm trying to leave the emotions and frustrations out and just explain the facts. I hired Tina to walk my dog for 30 mins twice a week and feed her. She definitely came the first day. After that, things (like the leash or food scoop) didn't seem to be moving at all and my dog seemed very hungry when I got home but I continued to receive "update" texts every walk-day to say she was on her way. Finally left notes and set up a camera. Confirmed she was not coming (this would have been the 6th visit). Tina's response was she had hired a woman to walk my dog (she never told me that) and had lent this other woman her phone and other car. I can't speak to whether that is just her answer whenever caught or if it is the truth. Either way, my dog was neglected and I'm not a happy customer. Positives - she refunded 2/3 of my money

I completely understood her frustration. I hire extra walkers thru One Stop Career Center on occasion when I have a large volume of clients. At this time I hired two extra walkers because my father was very ill. The particular walker she was speaking of was supposed to show up with her own vehicle and her own cellphone. She didn't and she gave me, which I now know to be false information, and said her boyfriend kicked her out and she didn't have her belongings. Since I was at home with my dad I told her and the other walker to call the house phone if there were issues. From the feed back from Christine and from the walker I thought everything was going fine. If Christine had any doubts she should have called or emailed me right away. I let her know that I was going to have additional walkers working for me. I was contacted by her on the same night my father died. I was trying to find out the whole story from her while dealing with my dad dying. I called the walkers contact number and left numerous messages and heard nothing. I did what came first to mind and refunded the last transaction. If she wanted more of a refund she could have mentioned it when she asked for the return of the key. I told her that I reported the walker to the program director and fired her. I also filed a theft report with the program director over use of my credit information the walker used, which she found in my personal note pad on my phone. I probably wasn't in the best frame of mind when this occurred and I apologize for that. I also have never dealt with someone as dishonest as the girl I hired. I have never received a bad review because up until this I have done everything myself. I never hired extra walkers. And when I did start hiring walkers I still never received a bad review. But this incident taught me slot and I have learnt that I have to be more of a boss than I sucker. I am truly sorry for everything Christine went through and her dog. I feel horrible and ashamed that this occurred right under my nose. But I have changed the way I hire, I don't. It is Strickland busy myself, my son, and my fiance. And so far not one missed walk or neglected pet. My updated reviews will reflect that change.

Tina is flexible, kind, accommodating and a pro with dogs. I started using her over a month ago to walk my dog Nugget 7 days a week.Nugget loves her. Tina looks out for signs of sickness or anything that may be off and is sure to tell me after each walk. I really appreciate it.

Tina has been great with my dog Mochi. I work a lot and don't have the time he needs as a puppy during the week to take him out. Tina walks him 4 days a week for and hour and 1 day for 2 hours. He comes back happy and a bit tired which is great for me. Her rates are good and service is as well. Overall i have been pleased with Tina thus far!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is pretty simple. Walks for small dogs close to my residence start at $10 an hour. Walks for large dogs close to my residence cost $20 an hour. If you live in an area that is crowded with parking meters and parking garages then the price goes up. If you want your dog walked in your neighborhood then at the end of the month you'll receive a seperate bill for parking costs. Full price for metered parking and half of the bill for parking in a garage.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My position working for the city of SF was suspended. And job hunting for a year wasn't going anywhere. No one paid as well as the city. I decided to finally do something I love, work with the animals. I went through two years of veterinary technician training before Crohns disease put me in the hospital and I missed my finals. So I couldn't finish my degree. I am taking courses through ed2go.in veterinary assistant certification. But I love the animals because they make life easier to deal with so why not surround myself with it.

Dog sitting in the owners home, Injectable medication administration, visits for cats, dog socialization, puppy basic training, behavior modification, dog walking, stall cleaning and grooming for horses, exercise riding.
