FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After learning your needs and goals, we arrange a complimentary assessment. This helps us to understand your medical and physical condition in order to design your sessions. Once the assessment is complete we can give you our best recommendation as to frequency and length of sessions in order to help you reach your goals. The rest is communication, guidance and going to the ends of the earth to bring you to your happy place!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has a variety of degrees and international certifications. In addition, annual YourBestFit training and certifying agency continuing education is required. Our team also includes specialists in a variety of sports injuries, numerous diseases, disabilities, neurological conditions and common surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff, back and neck surgeries, and other medical issues.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After a life altering jet ski accident in 1996 I didn't know if I would ever walk again. During emergency surgery, 2 rods, 4 pins, a cross bar and bone from my hip were inserted to hold my back together. While still in a coma, the doctors told my family that although they weren't sure I'd walk again they were sure that I didn't die because I was FIT! After waking from the coma my family shared this life changing information with me and I decided that if I were ever to walk again I would dedicate my life to educating the world on the importance of being healthy and fit! During the several months of rehabilitation, I became nationally certified by the American Council on Exercise, and also became a Post-Rehabilitative and Medical Exercise Specialist.
