Initial visit: Acupuncture consult and treatment - $160 (90 minutes) Follow up visit: Acupuncture consult and treatment - $110 (60 minutes) Package of 5 follow up visits - $500 Package of 10 follow up visits - $950 In vitro fertilization (IVF), acupuncture treatment before & after - $175 Students / seniors - $80 Insurance accepted - please contact me to discuss your insurance plan. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As acupuncturists, we are expected to continue learning throughout our careers. I have taken some wonderful continuing education courses over the years, with a particular interest in courses that cover fertility, mental health, and pain management.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was in a car accident in 1999, and struggled with back pain for 2 years after that. During that time, I used many (many!) types of treatments to address the pain, but unfortunately, none of the medicine, exercises, or steroid injections I tried seemed to help at all. Finally, I was told that I would need extensive surgery to treat my back pain. Unsatisfied with this option, my father and I sought out an acupuncturist in my hometown. It took a long time, but acupuncture DID eventually help me get through the back pain. I have been pain-free since 2002... and that includes two pregnancies during which my back felt fine! I think acupuncture is an amazing and very complete medical system, and I encourage you to try it, especially if you struggle with a chronic problem.
