Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Most people think that to be a full time musician is to live a life in poverty with barely anything to show for your work. I am proof that this is not the case. To make a living as a musician takes specialized knowledge that I impart to my students. I put them to the test and help them develop their skills and business sense so they can succeed where so many others fail. This is the favorite part of my job!

I've met Lee Gattenby way before he started his biz and he has been musician since beggining of times. He is a very particular in a way he does things and due to his approach has always been able to lead. This comes from long term experience and collaboration with others and sincere involvements with all sorts of music, and everything that makes music. Great knowledge of many, many instruments, techniques of playing, composing, recording, mixing, producing music and of course performing. Always professional and fair to everyone, with attention to know you better so that he can adapt his style of teaching to you. I have never met a music teacher and mentor that has so easily explained ideas of momentum, feelings, volume of it all to me thru theory and practice in actual sample preforming right in front of me. He is capable and unstoppable. If you ever run into him you will be happy you have for the rest of you life. Let me tell you one other thing. My testimony of his excellence is in my personal musical need to travel over 350 miles just to have a lesson with him. Did I mention he has a great network of other musicians not only in US but around the World he has collaborated with and I have a contact with so his recommendation comes with lots of weight and everyone will take you seriously. It is a great asset to know Lee Gattenby and create together with Lee Gattenby Music.

I am one of Lee's guitar playing students. Since I began taking lessons with him nearly 3 years ago, I have improved in ways that I never thought possible. His teaching methods are very effective, and lessons are always fun and interesting.

Lee is an amazing guitarist and a great teacher. He is always investing his time and money to help improve his skills and improve his teaching skills. Lee is one of those rare teachers that sincerely cares about his students progress. He always goes above and beyond what other teachers would do to ensure that his students are receiving the best instruction. Lee is a top notch guy. I would highly recommend working with Lee.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a registered RGT tutor (from the United Kingdom), and a nationally accredited vocal instructor through NATS. My students have competed locally and internationally (as of this post we have take the Kenai Peninsula's Alaska's Got Talent three years in a row and taken the state title once.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

As a certified homeschool instructor, I provide a level of music education that meets the high standard of parents looking for quality instruction. Homeschool registration paperwork (Connections for instance) is completed on-site and submitted by email to the homeschool advisors. In many cases this means that there is no out-of-pocket expenses to the client.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I prefer that I be the last instructor that a student considered. The reason being that there are plenty of teachers who instruct from a hobbiest perspective, (which is fine). However, I look for students who want to go on to music careers (the emphasis is different, and much more serious). A lot of work is put into the students MINDSET to succeed. Its more important the then technical aspects of music by far. You really have to want to do this, and its not easy.
