Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Guitar and Art students must practice to be the very the best that they can be. Customers that are interested in murals are encouraged to express their ideas and have them incorporated into their mural for a personal touch.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Ben has played guitar all of his life...since he was 14 years old...He was a member of a gospel group through his teenage years...he's played with many groups and bands. Blue grass, county, rock you name it....he can play it! I learned that I was gifted in art at the age of "21"! My mother and I started a bakery in Prattville and that is were I learned to master many arts.....sculpture, color blending, airbrushing, painting (on icing) and more...this led to painting on walls and finally teaching children to create too.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I teach for the joy and not so much for the pay...

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I most enjoy the point when a new student "gets it"...and it clicks. Then their off and creating all by themselves!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do I need to buy a guitar? How much should I spend? My answer is, "If possible borrow one until you decide if guitar is for you" and then " spend your money on a nice quality guitar and you can get a fair return if you need to sell it later"

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Asked to paint some murals in my church nursery to match some wall paper borders and from their it just grew.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. I'm currently painting ar Airport Road Intermediate school..the new cafeteria mural will show off some incredible airplane stunts over and around a huge portrait of the new school.
