My son has been taking guitar lessons from Brian Roughton at Music Academy for a little over 2 years. He started when he was only 6 years old. At first I thought he was too young but let me say that I am amazed everyday at his progress. His instructor is very patient but knows when to push him to try his best. My son who is now 8 years old has performed at several recitals and at a local music store. He has not only learned how to read music and play the guitar, he has learned a valuable life lesson, in that, even things that seem hard at times can be very rewarding. He has also gained so much self confidence from performing in front of an audience. Taking music lessons at Music Academy has been such a positive experience that I hope we continue on for years to come.
