Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Arkansas earned high marks for several of its regulatory systems, including 'A+' grades for its zoning requirements and environmental regulations.
Some of the key findings for Arkansas include:
- Small businesses rated the state's online resources among the best in the country.
- Arkansas' drop from 'A-' in 2012 to 'B' overall this year was largely due to the increased difficulty associated with starting a new business in the state.
