- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My very first officiation was for a dear friend in Los Angeles. The bride & groom & I wrote the ceremony together, held in a gorgeous botanical garden outside Beverly Hills with over 250 guests, some of whom had just come off the filming of Get Shorty. What a fantastic way to begin my journey uniting couples on their very special day!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
October 2014, I had a wedding at the Crescent Hotel with 16 attendants in the bridal party, over 100 guests, & no rehearsal time possible as everyone was driving to or flying in for the ceremony. The bride & groom & I worked out the details of ceremony, processional & recessional via phone consultation & email. I arrived shortly before ceremony, knew everyone's names, lined everybody up & led them in smiling. It was a flawless ceremony on a lovely afternoon in the Crescent Hotel Fountain Garden!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they are like-minded, listen well, are familiar with what's truly involved officiating a ceremony, & willing to devote the time to put your mind at ease.
