Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Studio 1910 is an international award winning wedding photography studio. We are probably best known for our artistic and modern wedding images. But we also photograph engagement sessions, bridal session, babies, families, seniors, sport teams, action sports, pets, events, reunions, and commercial advertising. We also have graphic design and business branding services.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When you are looking for your wedding photographer, check them out! Your wedding day memories are once in a lifetime. You want to hire a professional who has experience, equipment and the personality to handle your wedding. Ask to see their most recent wedding. Ask how many weddings they have photographed. Ask if they have back-up equipment in case something breaks. Ask for references. A real professional will not be offended. At Studio 1910, Cheryl and Nicole have photographed weddings for over 20 years. We have back-up equipment for everything in our camera bag. We know how to handle wedding days, even when things do not go as planned. And, we have very happy Clients and will be happy to give you references.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Before hiring us you should have the basic wedding details, like date and location. We only accept 25 wedding clients per year in order to give you the best service. In order to reserve your wedding date, it's best to book early. You should also know what your photography budget is. We have collections to fit almost any budget. Our typical clients reserve 20-40% of their wedding budget for photography because photography is that important to them.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Studio 1910 photography is best known for artistic wedding imagery. We don't just "shoot pictures", we create art for your wall. It's where fashion photography meets wedding photography.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love what we do. Art is so much a part of our lives. We see art everywhere. Traveling and meeting new people keeps us energized and excited about photography. It's the relationships we build with our clients that is one of the best benefits of the job. It's the greatest job in the world, and doesn't even seem like work.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Just because someone says they are a wedding photographer does not necessarily make them one. Wedding photographers are professionals who have the training, experience and equipment to handle your wedding day, and whatever may happen on that day. Friends and relatives who want to photograph your wedding for free, may sound like a great wedding gift, but unless they are a professional photographer, you may not get the photography you dreamed of.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Cheryl and Nicole study art and photography throughout the year. We believe that you never stop learning. As members of Professional Photographers of American and Wedding and Portrait Professionals International, we attend seminars and conventions. We study with the top photographers in the country. We follow industry blogs and trade bulletins. In order to stay on top of the photography industry, we keep in touch with everything that is going on. That not only helps you be confident we have the knowledge it takes, but also that we are in touch with the latest styles and trends.
