Art Classes for Beginners

I teach art, watercolor-mixed media drawing, to beginners. I have been doing art since grade school and have taught private lessons for 15 years. My students seem to really enjoy the lessons, and many have gone on with their art to become quite successful.

I love to provide a beginning place for them and then say later that they were my students and that took class from me before they knew they could paint or draw. I provide a lesson plan, and sometimes, the students can bring me what they want to paint or learn, and we work on it together to learn the technique.

  Mrs. Dottie is excelent with my children. She takes time to teach the basics and provides great feedback we were just there yesterday and my son is asking when we go back next.

  Dottie is an excellent instructor. She is knowledgeable and provides both verbal and written support of the concepts she is teaching. She helps maintain your focus on your work goal, while still being flexible and open to both new ideas and the use of different media. I enjoy the experimental nature of the sessions. The classes have been fun and relaxed, with lots of progress on the finished work.

  Art class w/ Dottie??? Let's see...what adjectives can I use to describe a lesson w/ Dottie??? Fun! Creative! Educational. Relaxing!! I never felt any unease....even being a beginner because Dottie knows how to put one at ease. I was able to put to use my creative energies., learn some techniques..and have fun at the same time. I always look forward to an art class w/ Dottie.....
