Introduction: I am a retired teacher. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught infants 6 weeks - 5 years at Headstart for 10 years. I am an author of children's books. I created a reading program and published my book "READ: A Basic Teaching Tool For Parents in 2015. I partner with parents using my program to teach children to read in as little as 3 months, provided they are consistent and do the work I assign. Although, all children are different and learn at different speeds, I have had awesome success with my program. My program incorporates all of the senses, as well as math concepts, because children learn and retain information in different ways. I also work with the social emotional development with a child. When teaching, you teach the whole child. Children have a lot on their minds and their concerns and thoughts must be acknowledged and given attention in order for learning to be successful. My belief is that children come ready for the time in which they are born. Children should learn to read as early as three years old and no later than 4 years, which will allow them to enter the traditional classroom with confidence.
