I recently had my car washed and waxed by Showcase Mobile Detailing. They arrived on time, the attention to detail was impressive and the car looked amazing when the work was finished. I will be a repeat customer and have already recommended Showcase to family and friends.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure to do some background check. Look for reviews and definitely look for a website showing the work.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. This is not really an "inside secret" but in order to keep your vehicle looking good, you must get it at least washed twice a month. A lot of external things can build up on the paint and rims that sometimes will be to hard to remove if too much time goes takes place in between cleanings. "That can just be buffed out" I hear this phrase all the time and 90% of the time that is not true.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are rated 5 Star service on other websites such as www.kudzu.com and www.yelp.com. I have been in the auto detailing service for over 20 years. College educated and I am the owner and detailer. I do not send a crew of hourly employees to do a professionals work.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting great people and working on all types of cars.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What service should I get for my car?

Every car has different issues that demand many different types of solutions. Some paints cannot be restored and some paints don't need to be buffed with a high speed buffer. Carwashes are famous for using the high speed buffing technique but do not follow up with 2 other steps that are required to eliminate swirls and cobwebbing.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. There are so many self proclaimed "detailers" out there, make sure you really do your homework when picking one. Not all are equal and some charge a very low rate and offer a very low quality service.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Ever since I was a young kid, I enjoyed polishing and cleaning. It was my bike back then but then graduated to my dads cars and then others after I realized that I enjoyed it so much and could make some money. I detailed cars in high school and college to make some extra money and then finally at age 36 decided to make it after working in the corporate world.
