Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We shoot a lot of events like weddings. Families are big too. Commercial jobs are next with golf catalogs and the like.

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. Engagement sessions and many weddings

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Find out if the photography company you see online is a preferred vendor with venues in town. This is the best referral you can receive

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Finding a photographer in Phoenix is easy, finding a professional is a little harder, finding a really good pro is tough. Photographers that take pictures are not artists. Building a story with flowing visual momentum and perfect lighting is what creates a perfect photograph. A good wedding photographer should be: creative, artistic, personable, an incredible organizer, helpful, ability to improvise instantly, coordinator of groups, friendly, fun, and giving. Always meet your photographer at the setting you're having your wedding. Neutral ground and see how they fit in. Have them bring a camera to the meeting, shoot a few photos of the two of you. Judge those, not digitally recreated images online.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. I would ask a wedding photographer their preliminary organization of guests, details, their approach before the photos begin

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Everyone has a budget. That is important but less expensive wedding photographers are usually not full time professionls. Your wedding should produce the best images of your life.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Clive spent many years as a working model before gravitating over to his true passion, photography. The experience working in front of the cameras of world renowned fashion photographers and knowing the technicalities of cameras, lighting, movement, angle, and personality separates him from the majority of professional photographers today.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Its exciting photographing people, events, and products. I'm lucky my job is my hobby!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. They usually ask me about price since by that time they have been referred and seen the website. We accommodate all requests and work with most budgets.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. It's the same story. I love what I do and my clients are very creative themselves. We corroborate ideas and work hard together. The end result...wonderful images that last a lifetime!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. There is so much more to wedding photography than photographs. A great photographer will seamlessly create amazing situations at an event where the end result are natural incredible photographs.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Each wedding photographed is technically better than the last. We strive to learn every time we are photographing an event.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. An amazing Armenian wedding. Dancing, gifts, events, the church and a huge reception. Wonderful people and all very kind and giving.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I would advise them to serve as an apprentice for at least a year with a proven professional that is referred by actual venues in our city.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. Combination of expertize in front of and behind the camera. This is what separates Clive from many other professional photographers in the valley.
