Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Graphic and web design and development and incorporation of social media sites and blogs.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be clear on what you want to see. If you have no idea, together, I can help you conceptualize what should happen with your name, your brand, your website and your image. If you have a question - ASK. Also, if you don't like something I've done, please let me know. I want you to be happy with my work. When I work for you, I give you everything I can and then some.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How to use Photoshop to manipulate images and how to use CSS.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take the time to make sure I am giving the client EXACTLY what they want. I step out of my normal boundaries and solidify a branded look across all platforms; my broad history with development and design and my vast knowledge of marketing makes me an all-in-one package deal!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love to create. I love to see nothing turn into something. But more than anything, I love to watch the look on clients faces or read the emails of excitement when I deliver not only what they wanted, but something much, much more...

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How would you brand me and where do I start? Start with the logo and the color scheme and decide who you target market it ... hone in on what are you want them to know. That is where I start. Gather the base idea and run!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. The time Elvis Presley and crabs won awards for me. :)
Recently, when I had someone recognize me by my branded name and they acted like I was Lady GaGa! SWEET!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Just how much time is involved in creating a graphical interface and branded theme across multiple platforms and formats. Graphics is an art-form...sometimes, art takes time.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. It's in my blood. I've been designing everything I could think of since childhood ... magazine covers, Jr. High school newsletters, flayers and bulletins for school plays. When I went to college, it was a natural progression.

A. The newest - CS5! I can't wait to get my hands on this little jem. I do think that the addition of the Android system and fun toys like the ipad will affect the way designers and developers work. I can Photoshop on my phone - THAT is amazing!

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
