Budd was so much fun. He was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. Our guests had a great time and they all commented about the great music.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. DJ's come in many skill levels and you usually get what you pay for. When talking with a DJ, experience is the most important thing find out about. What type events do they do the most? How many events a year? What type of music do they play? This is more important then the equipment they bring or how low their price is. Make sure all of this lines up with what you envision for your event.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. When hiring a DJ, it's important to have an idea of the type of event you want to have. A DJ is there to help make that vision a reality. The DJ should be willing to play the type of music you want, as well as, dress how you want them to. It's important that you get along with your DJ. If they are abrasive your guests will feel it, which can kill a party. The great DJ's are charismatic and play every song for your guests' enjoyment. They treat your party like it's the most important event they have ever preformed at. If you don't get the feeling from the DJ you're talking to, then they may not be right for you.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I can't imagine ever giving up DJing. This job lets me be a part of so many others' special moments. I make a difference in their lives, and it's a difference that they remember for years. On top of that I love all kinds of music!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have so many stories that I just can't pick a favorite. At the top of the list would be the time I spent training under Tim Chisim. He was an amazing teacher and showed me what it takes to be a true DJ and MC.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am always trying to better myself and my skills as a DJ. I subscribe to a company to get all of the most up to date radio edit music and I talk with and watch other DJ's at work. This is what I love and it shows when I am on the mic.
