FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate of $80/hr for anything related to post production. I also have different shooting day rates depending on the type of shoot, if I need to hire any additional crew or if there needs to be specialized gear or permissions like would be necessary for drone coverage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer an informal phone call or email followed up with an in-person meeting. Typically at lunch or over coffee, we'll talk about your needs and what you hope to accomplish and I'll get a sense of how I can best serve you. After talking through a schedule, the scope of completed work and anything else specific to your project, I'll send over an estimate that will also have production targets next to each appropriate line. After approving the estimate a 50% deposit is due to reserve the dates and secure any gear or assistants necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been producing video in a freelance capacity on and off since 2001. In 2009 I went full time on my own and then in 2011 I took a full time job as a Video Art Director creating all of the pre-produced content for a large church. In 2015 my wife and I decided to incorporate the existing wedding business and combine it with my video work and go full time again. For education, I have a BS in Business Administration and Marketing. I also completed a summer program in digital video editing from the New York Film Academy.
