FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Both my mother and her sister were licensed beauticians for over 15 years. When I was 5 years old, I was in my 1st Hair Show. Sparkling with makeup on, and my hair long and runway-worthy, I realized I wanted to grow up to be in this hair industry. So began my journey. My wigs, falls, hair pieces, hair pony collections, and hair braiding skills accumulated, so did my desire to get licensed continue this artful legacy.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I was told at a recent class that I took, that we should be *coloring all of our cuts*. So if it's just a few baby pieces of hi-lights around the face, a clear cellophane color to make dull hair appear shiny, a root touch-up, or a complete color transformation, you will likely enjoy your haircut more if it has been treated with one of the many forms of hair color that is now available. For clients that do not want much change I suggest trying a 'Color Conditioner'. Refer to my blog on my website for before and after pictures of this service.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I suggest when looking for a stylist to choose one that loves this line of work like I do. Everyday I come to work enthusiastic and ready to make everyone that comes to my chair feel excited and happy about the entire experience, from consultation, to shampoo, from haircut, or color, to style finish and product knowledge.
