FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies based on many factors. Please find you location and service on our website to determine the pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always use the first class to analyze each student to assure they are placed at the appropriate level. Parents and students are met on deck, and the program is explained to them. We have our friendly Ambassadors on deck, ready to answer any questions or concerns you might have. New children can be nervous or fearful on the first day of lessons, but our goal is to make them feel welcome and work through any fears they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The British Swim School is a premiere swim school and has developed its program based on scientific research. We conduct extensive training for every employee. Our Aquatics Director attends yearly training conferences specific to lessons, and our National Director makes site visits to enhance our program. Our Aquatics Director is a certified Red Cross Lifeguard instructor, with 40 years of experience in the field. She is credentialed from the University of Pennsylvania in Adapted Aquatics and is a trainer for our staff. She has a Bachelor's in Education, and one year of Graduate classes in Special Education. She has worked in and been certified in various other nationally recognized swim programs. She has successfully worked with thousands of students of all ages and abilities including a wide range of disabilities. Our instructors, under the leadership and guidance of the Aquatics Director, have a minimum of 40 hours of training and student teaching before being given their own classes. Training is an on-going process throughout the year. Our instructors are professional and continue to work towards mastery of their skills. They are Lifeguard/CPR certified and have gone through SafeSport Child Abuse Prevention training.
