Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Always verify the time anyone is in business not just the field but the actual business they are promoting. If it is recently changed names or locations ask yourself why? I have changed locations added a business but have always been located in Glendale and always use the BCX and Business Card XPress name. The only reason I would stop would be if I were trying to hide from a bad reputation.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. One inside tip is check around at the cost of commercial building signage done using traditional channel letters. Then when they quote you like its a vehicle you are buying not a piece of thin metal with some wires running inside, then contact me and ask about the ultra low cost alternative in FOAM !
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Everything I sell I produce right here in my shop in Glendale. The benefits of using me for your business printing and signs is that I will create an original design including logo and will implement that into all of your marketing materials both on paper and in social media for example. And my rates are the lowest for this type of service yet draw from experience that is unmatched in my industry.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Being my own boss and helping customers get their business jumpstarted at a reasonable rate is fullfilling.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Most common question is, "how much for...."
Everyone wants to price comparison these days. There is still much to be said about a one stop shop convenience as well as quality and experience being worth value.
In addition to cost, how about fees? I have no extra fees like shipping or most of my items come with free set up like banners, business cards etc.... NO HIDDEN FEES most importantly!
AND WHAT ABOUT TIME? IS TIME VALUABLE TO YOU - HOW ABOUT SAME DAY - CAN THE BROKERS DO THAT?
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I have over 25 years of stories but wouldn't want to bore anyone at this point lol
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I wish customers realized the difference between gang run printing where you wait in line to get a finished product run along with hundreds of the same product at the same time, vs. on demand digital where I set up and print your job just your job today - This ensures color quality as well as individual techniques just not possible with gang run products.
Also the fact I have been in this trade since I was 14 years old and it's been a family business so that might steer away the scammers looking to get their artwork done free so they can send it to a gang run online source and not be charged like the gang run guys charge for set up.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Wanted to work with my Dad and always liked the idea of working for myself. Never had the same work ethic as the majority of people I see in the workplace today. I don't have regular business hours because I will work 7 days a week 18 hours a day and often do and have no problems with that. The day I try and tell someone standing in front of me trying to give me money to do what I do for them, and I in turn ask him to leave or come back tomorrow that my store closes at 5pm or that I am closed or that I have something to do so I can't help him, if that ever comes out of my mouth, that means run because I have been abducted by aliens and that person you see saying that is a cyborg! lol...
