FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are 3 distinct areas in pricing signs. !st there is the design process. Includes logo creation/design as well as in many cases like window and trailer wraps, there is a design element that gets priced individually. Once the design part is done, there is the manufacturing part. No matter if I am building a small indoor sign or full blown building front channel letters, there is the manufacturing process that must be calculated for. The final part is the installation. Many times a customer will install their own signs or a customer has a sign they would like to have installed. I can handle both types.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process varies depending on the product being ordered. It usually requires me to go on site to take measurements and pictures and to meet with the customer to go over what they are looking for and what they want to see when the work is completed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years with varying amounts within that of the different aspects of what I make and sell. My industry is constantly changing and evolving and it has seen multiple industries come together into the sign industry we have currently, including printing, manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication as well as lighting. I have built myself multiple CNC machines that I use currently in my shop. No one taught me any part of what I do when manufacturing. I have a Bachelors of Science in Economics which does little to help in my job however the university experience was vital in finding my final direction in life.
