Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. A customer looking for a personal trainer, should look for one who is certified. In addition, those with more years experience are more likely to have dealt with a wider range of clients, and in turn know more about how to help you specifically.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Large corporations pay their trainers close to nothing. As a result, the client often works with a trainer who is unmotivated. The corporation most likely has a high turn-over rate so clients are switching between trainers without warning. From my experience, independent trainers look at training as their career and are more committed.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. -Are you certified?
-Do you offer nutritional guidance?
-Have you worked with someone of my physical capability?
-Do you offer a free consultation?
-Do you track your clients progress and how?
-Are you knowledgeable in the different areas of fitness?
