- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I do. I keep up with the new tax laws posted every year and any revisions or such to GAAP, in order to continue to produce accurate information.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working in my parent's electrical contracting business in Mesa, when I was a child. My mother was the bookkeeper and in the summer while school was out, I went to work with her and learned how to do payroll for approx. 30 people. I also learned how to take care of the related payroll taxes, such as the 941, 940, Unemployment, and others. This includes preparing payroll and the related reports for Davis-Bacon wages. Eventually, I went to college and received a Bachelor of Arts-Accounting, in Anchorage, AK.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The accounting projects are all different. The common jobs would be the income tax preparation.
