Jeff drove out to Glendale to set up a new computer tower for me. He was great. His technical knowledge is very impressive. He sat down with me after he installed all the old and new programs, and explained lots of the new stuff to me. Had some trouble with my incoming e-mail. I contacted him about it. He responded the same day and had it fixed that evening.
Let's you know what the charge will be before he gets started.
Excellent!
Will be calling him for any other computer services.

Jeff is a miracle worker! He made himself available immediately and worked all day (on a Sunday!) to rid our three home computers of viruses that had attacked earlier in the weekend. I was impressed with his knowledge, but I was even more impressed with his willingness to sit down and talk to me about what had happened, how he had fixed our computers, and what signs to look out for. He even sat down and taught each of my children about the new security features he had installed on their machines.
When he handed me the final invoice, I was shocked at how reasonable his fees were. I'm so glad I found him - he is the absolute BEST computer repair professional I have ever used.– Lisa

Jeff was such a joy to work with. Our small business needed assistance in setting up four new computers on a network, and he did it seamlessly! He worked around our busy schedule and his flexibility made what would have been a HUGE undertaking for us to accomplish, a breeze!
He also suggested ways to streamline the system we were on and did it in such a comfortable way. I would recommend him to anyone needing repair or setup!

Lightning PC Services and Jeff Miller are terrific. Whether you need an entire re-build of your system or just a tweak here and there, Jeff will get the job done and he will do it around your time schedule. Jeff set up and now maintains our in-home wireless network, security fire walls and operating system. I am about to purchase a new desktop system but will not do so without his advice.

Fantastic service. My computer was really "acting up" for lack of better technical terms and none of my friends, family, or otherwise could help me with it. They were stumped. I gave it to Jeff to see what he could come up with and he returned it promptly, in perfect condition-it seems better than new. He went over everything with me in simple terms that even I could understand and spent additional time with me reviewing the things I needed to do. I am not a computer expert by any means and he literally made this painless for me. I will not use anyone but him in the future-not to mention he is very reasonable compared to others I have heard about.
I don't usually write reviews, good or bad, but my experience with Jeff was so positive, I felt I needed to share with others just how good he is.– Trish

I used Jeff of Lightning PC Services to help me with a new PC purchase and set up. He was very quick to find me a great deal on an HP. I purchased it and he scheduled the set up in my home at a convenient time. Called Jeff @ little after 1 pm on Tuesday about a home network problem. He arrived at 3:30, worked it through and left about 3 hours later, believing we were good to go. Not so. Came back Thursday, found that it was a cable connection and hardware glitch. We called Cox and set up a service appt. Then Jeff went with me to the Cox and Office Max stores at Superstition Springs a mile away where I got a new modem and router. He set them up, determined that the inside problems had been solved.
I received five-star service and recommend him w/o reservation.– Cw

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Securing wireless routers with maximum security
Eliminating Viruses, Spyware, or other Malware from a computer.
Setting up new computers. Installing hardware and/or software.
Providing training on hardware and/or software.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Please check as many references and reviews of current customers as you can before selecting a provider. Make sure that the technician providing you service has some type of computer repair credential.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My prices are cheaper than the big-box repair locations. I am a one-person operation so if you call on the phone you talk to me. If an on-site repair is necessary, you will see me. There is no passing the buck and I will continue to work with you until the job is completed to your satisfaction.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Meeting new and different people every day. Working at a different location every day. The challenge of a new problem every day.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Q: Why didn't my security program prevent me from being infected by malware?
A: Because thousands of new threats are released on the internet every day. The good guys don't know what the bad guys are working on until the threat is released making all of us vulnerable every day.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I have a favorite "free" Antivirus/Antispyware program that the best feature is its ease of use. There is one thing that I don't like about this program though, which is its terminology when it has found a threat on your computer. The program indicates that you should "clean" your computer. I had one elderly customer who thought that meant she should get out her feather duster!
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. Working with computers involves thousands, (if not millions) of variables. For most users I quote $75 for an on-site visit which includes the first hour of labor. If I can't complete the repair within the hour I will normally quote a flat rate to complete the repair.
