Rick came to our house from Queen Creek and was honest, fast and courteous and even fixed a few things my wife asked about while he was here and coming from Queen Creek to Peoria he did not even have a trip charge but he was so great to my wife we gave him extra for the trip.

    5+ Stars.
I had 2 things that needed work. One was figuring out where a short was located for my spa pump. He found that quickly and that was fixed the same day I contacted him. He also gave me a quote for the second job which was installing a couple of breakers and running the conduit and wires. The quote came back and was less than I expected or had budgeted for. The work was completed quickly, professionally and the work area was tidy and clean afterwards.

Not only was I very pleased with the work and his professionalism, but he was a pleasure to talk with. Now I have taped his card to the inside of my breaker panel so I'll always know who to use when the next project arrives.

The only problem was I forgot to tell my wife that he would be showing up to do the work... my bad.

I bought some sconces, but as there had never been lights on that wall , I needed an electrician. I was waiting to hear about someone trustworthy, and finally a friend had a good experience with Rick's. He was right on time and finished within the limited time I had available. He cleaned up and helped me put things back together. The lights look great!

We were lucky to find Rick online. It was the coldest day we can remember and our heater wasn't running along with most of the electrical in our home. Rick came to our home immediately and worked painstakingly to get our power properly restored by 11:00 that evening. It was absolutely freezing outside and he worked dilligently and thoroughly with a smile. His rates are very reasonable, and he is knowledgeable, fair and timely with his work. We have used him since that night for a more involved project and were equally as happy with him and the results.

I HAD RICK PUT IN SEVERAL DEDICATED OUTLETS IN MY METAL FABRICATION SHOP ALONG WITH A 240V PLUG FOR MY TIG WELDER. RICK RAN ALL THE ELECTRICAL FROM THE OUTSIDE IN FOR A VERY CLEAN LOOK AND IN RECORD TIME. GREAT PRICE AND RELIABLE RESULTS! RICK TOOK ALOT OF EXTRA TIME TO MAKE SURE THE PLUG I NEEDED FOR MY WELDER WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED FOR THE MACHINE. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AND WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN. THANKS RICK!

Rick came up with a creative and lasting design solution for the job and did not charge extra when additional labor was called for.

hey, if you're looking for an electrician, don't look any further. rick is the man for the job. listen up.
i had a couple of switches burn out due to overloading a circuit with my space heater (wrong thing to do) . i called rick and he arrived promptly at the scheduled time. that's really important---big points for that. he got right to work and didn't lecture me about overloading outlets (more points), but he did give me some good advice about where to plug things in. check.
rick also found that one switch that fried had been compromised by the previous owner's home repairs,(that's a bad thing), and then he checked several other outlets and switches in my home to make certain that they were ok too. (that's a good thing)
rick did a very thorough job, was a very likeable person (he doesn't mind if you talk to him while he works), and knew exactly what the problem was. points, points, and more points. and the biggest points go to his charging an honest price for quality work. i liked that.
what are you waiting for? hire this man.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. What to look for when choosing an electrician

With new homebuilding in a current major slump and lost jobs especially in the construction and contracting fields, many homeowners are turning to do-it -yourself home projects and repairs. While I my self have had to do many of my own home improvements and repairs, there are a few things I know better to leave to the professionals. For me Plumbing is something better left for a licensed Plumber, and most would agree Electrical repairs, up-grades, design and installation is a job better left for a Licensed Electrician. For most of us the thought of installing and wiring a new circuit for a new appliance, or replacing an old ceiling fan, is probably unlikely, if not for any reason other then proper safety and code issues. So, how can you find and choose a reputable, affordable and knowledgeable electrician.
Most people today will search online for an electrician, and there is no shortage of electrical contractors, and companies to choose from. However, as tempting as it might be to choose the first company on your Google search page, there are some additional things to look for when choosing the right electrician:

Are they Licensed, Bonded, Insured
Do they have any current complaints with the Registrar of Contractors or the BBB
Are they accredited with the BBB
Do they have an informative and navigable website
Does their website have customer reviews, and contact information readily available
Can you speak with the electrician personally when contacting the company

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. The first thing a consumer should ask is whether a professional licensed contractor should do the service, they need. This is especially important for electrical, plumbing, heating, and air. With a licensed contractor, the work they do is backed by a state agency such as the ROC Arizona Registrar of Contractors

The second thing a consumer should ask is if the service professional has reviews. With today's technology most reputable companies have an online presence and have had their services reviewed by consumers online. Thumbtack.com is a perfect example of where a consumer can go to find a contractor and read their reviews as well as, write a review.
When it comes to your home, it just makes sense to hire a Licensed Contractor.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I own and operate my Electrical Contracting Business. When a potential customer contacts Ricks Advanced Electric, they will be contacting the owner of the company, the electrician that will do the work, and the person solely responsible for satisfying our commitment to our customers.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. At least 50% of my jobs are service calls. The customer contacts me with an electrical problem that is effecting their daily life in their home. Finding the electrical problem and correcting it quickly and for a reasonable price almost always puts a smile on the customer's face. That is a good day at my job.
