- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to charge $20 per person. It includes my book, DIABETES: MY JOURNEY OF ERRORS, TRUTH, & RESOLVE. When I speak about LEADERSHIP, the fee is substantially less, more of an hourly rate of $100 to $300. I charge a low fee for LEADERSHIP speaking engagements because I get so much satisfaction from the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
DIABETES: I stay current by doing research on several websites. LEADERSHIP: I enjoy reading biographies of different types of leaders in U.S. History. Famous men and women are critical to illustrate multiple profiles in leadership.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING is all about having the credentials in your field. Since I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 2007, I wrote a book, DIABETES: MY JOURNEY OF ERRORS, TRUTH, & RESOLVE. I have a powerful message for any one diagnosed with a chronic or terminal disease. My message can and will change lives while allowing the audience to learn through my re-enactments and One Woman Show! Regarding LEADERSHIP, I have a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and have been a public school Assistant Principal and Principal. Additionally, I grew up in a family business in which I performed every duty from dusting to office duties. IF YOU DON'T HAVE MESSAGE OR AREA OF EXPERTISE, you can't be a Motivational Speaker!
