FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to be a teacher from my first memory. I performed music from my earliest memory. (At 18 months old I jumped on stage at a luau in Hawaii and started "singing" for the audience. I was just supposed to be in the audience with my parents, but I wanted to perform I guess.) I began performing professionally and teaching professionally at a fairly young age. It struck me early on that traditional piano lessons tend to be quite rigid and one-dimensional on the musical spectrum. My professional performing experience told me musicians need to be fluent in many more musical skills than the typical piano lesson teaches. My years touring and creating music all over the world also taught me that the musical experience is so much deeper and wider and broader than most piano lessons offer. These experiences made me passionate about creating a WholeMusic experience for piano students and giving adults the opportunity of a lifetime to pursue their greatest musical bliss.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a teacher with a music degree and who is involved in the professional association. Look for a teacher who is offering various styles and teaches all aspects of music so you get the whole picture.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
As a piano teacher for adults, I give adults the gift of a childhood dream come true. It is the greatest job imaginable!
