- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As the owner of Mesa Piano Service, continuing education is one of my highest priorities. Many educational opportunities exist through the Piano Technicians Guild in the form of local chapter meetings (featuring technical presentations), seminars, regional conferences, and the yearly Institute and National Convention. I make it a point to attend every event possible, and I have attended 5 consecutive National Conventions. I've also had the opportunity to provide instruction at the local and national levels. I currently serve on the Institute Committee, which is the team responsible for the educational offerings at the yearly National Conventions (choosing and scheduling instructors, classes, and arranging for the pianos and equipment used in those classes). The wonderful thing about Piano Technology is that you can never know everything there is to know, and there is no excuse to stop learning something new.
