I had never used a designer before. I had no idea what to expect. Carolyn got it right, spot on, the first time around. I love my house and the process was way easier than I thought it might be. Carol with DESIGNorigins is beyond AMAZING! She is very creative and was open to incorporating my ideas and special pictures etc into staging my remodeled house. She kindly kept me aligned with the new look of the house style and the end product was spectacular. I could not have completed this project without her expertise. The pictures demonstrate her ability to merge the newly remodeled with some of my existing furniture and pieces.

I was introduced to Carolyn Pilastro of Design Origins by our architect Jason Chouinard. Prior to meeting with her, I looked at her gallery of work and liked it. I felt her aesthetic was similar to mine and she used color. Carolyn helped me pick tile for bathrooms, including accents, all lighting and plumbing fixtures for 2 bathrooms and helped with furniture and accessory purchasing and placement. She also suggested colors for the walls, ceilings, accents and was very available every step of the way. She designed a beautiful entertainment center which we had built and it is the main focal point of our great room. She is helping us put the finishing touches on our major remodel and I absolutely LOVE it. I would recommend Carolyn Pilastro of Design Origins highly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is different. Services for custom homes and complete remodels can be priced per square foot. Services for smaller projects can be priced by the hour or a set fee basis. Services are always based on the clients budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Carolyn will meet with the client to determine the scope of work and budget. She will provide a contract outlining the of work and coarse of action. I start with getting to know my clients and work closely with them on all aspects of the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Carolyn has a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from the University of Illinois. Carolyn has been designing homes in Arizona for more than 25 years. She has extensive experience in the custom home market assisting homeowners in the design process and working together with contractors throughout construction.
