FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I continue to get credits to maintain my certification with the International Coach Federation. I am also a lifelong learner and take workshops frequently.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Like a lot of people my childhood left a lot to be desired. I experienced physical and verbal abuse, the latter being the most damaging over the long-term. As a result I had very little confidence. After several careers and 2 divorces I realized that I had to change from the inside out, instead of constantly changing my circumstances. I needed to gain some confidence in myself and my abilities. In the process of working for a leadership development company and acquiring my coaching credentials I encountered hundreds and hundreds of people whose lives may have looked amazing from the outside but inside their confidence suffered. I realized that helping people gain more confidence opens up a world of possibilities and decided that this was my true calling.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure that there is a fit with your coach - you need to be comfortable with his or her style. Ask for a complimentary session so you're certain that there's a good connection.
