Private Classical Piano Instructor

Hello, and thank you for taking an interest in my post.

My name is Evan Pyles, and I have been studying classical piano for approximately 11 years now, and have been teaching for about 6. I recently relocated to Arizona from Las Vegas, Nevada to continue my musical education at Arizona State University.

I teach classical piano, and currently have spaces available for new students, who wish to learn to play. I teach all skill levels, from complete beginners, to early-advanced pianists.

Lessons include musical theory, studies on technique and proper execution, reading, and of course, performance. It would be optimal for new students to own, or at least have access to a real piano, on which to practice.

However, for complete beginners, I do not mind the use of electric keyboards as long as they know that they must soon upgrade to a real piano, as the key action on most electric keyboards does little to nothing to train and strengthen the fingers, but does indeed help with learning scales, fingering, chords, etc.

For my lessons, I usually teach in weekly sessions, each session lasting for one hour. For younger students first starting out (and who may have shorter attention spans), you may also opt for half-hour lessons, which make it easier to take in all of the new information given in that lesson.

My hours and rates are listed below; but currently, I am only able to make house calls as I am in the middle of relocating to Peoria. Potential students are welcome to come to my location after the 1st of August, when I should be settled in, and have my grand piano and materials ready.
