Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Just like they say, "Do your Homework first!"
Often times, too many homeowners are fixated on price rather than quality and reliability.
It is the age old addage, "you get what you pay for."
That Cliche' holds true now more than ever. To truly have great things in life you must be willing to spend a fair and just amount. Getting the best deal may wind up getting the best of you in return. Fair, Honest prices, that is what you will get with Kodiak Pools and Spas.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If I was a Customer, Here is what I personally would look for or ask.
"REFERENCES"
Nothing, I mean NOTHING will tell you more about a company than the clients that they work for. Unbiased, REAL evaluations from REAL customers.
There is perhaps no other genuine method to seperate the good guys from the bad ones than this simple little request. And with a little due diligence, you will be confident and satisfied with your decision knowing that your choice, like so many others like you, was the right one.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Kodiak Pools and Spas stands out from our competion because we have over 20 years in the construction and service industry. We take pride in the services that we perform and back our repairs for a full 30 days. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured for both Residential and Commercial work and are now a proud member of PORA. Unlike "other" repair outfits, we will not charge you for an estimate or bill your for services that you just do not need.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. i believe tha a Major part of Kodiak's Success is in part from the many clients athat we now call our friends. We have a "down home" approach to the service business and have made many friends from the vast array of refferals we have recieved. Customer service FIRST. That is the secret to our success!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most common question that we get asked is, "Are you Licensed?"

Answer: YES, Yes and yes! We are fully Licensed, Bonded, and Insured.
With so many scams and Unlicensed "pool service guys" out there it is really hard to find a genuine company to trust.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. With the vast number of people I meet every day, I have many stories to tell. The most common story I hear most often is the one where Kodiak is called to "Clean up" a mess that a "Supposed" service company had started but never came back to complete. We as an organization, see this more and more during this tough economy. We are always there to turn around a bad situation. That's the Kodiak Way!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I Believe that our customers can be better informed by doing just a couple of clicks of research BEFORE having a company come out to there house. Often, price seems to be the determining factor, only to be serped by shoddy work, and short warranty if one at all and empty promises. Kodiak Pools and Spas motto is "Craftsmanship is Back!"
what does this mean? It means that what we say, we do. When the repair is complete, it is done right,the first time and guranteed for a full 30 days.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was a home builder and trim carpenter by trade and was tired of the "production tract home runaround" here in the valley. Build them as fast as you can and let the cards fall where they may.
I wanted to take my talents to a higher level. Expert design, attention to detail, and a "Hands on Approach" is what we are all about. After working for a valley pool builder for years, the economy grew and so did the company. But as luck would have it, they also adopted the production home mentality, I knew there was a better way to do things, and so Kodiak Pools and Spas was born.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. This Job is posted on my webisite. Fire and water elegance. It is beautiful.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes I do. every year we attend ongoing education within our industry with time specific trade shows, educational seminars, etc. My industry is ever changing. From New laws recently enacted (Virginia Gramme Baker Act) to "Green Technologies". You must keep ahead of the curve.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Energy Effeciency. I look forward to the day when we can run pool pumps on solar, and use natural elements to treat pool water that are not only safe for us but good for our environment.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Most recent project was the Benschneider Pool Build. From start to finish it took only 24 days. That's right 24 days to go from no pool in your back yard to fully enjoyable, cool refreshing backyard oasis.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We are a straight forward pool company. No fancy gimmicks, no "this weekend only" schemes. Just honest priceng and service from start to finish.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Find a builder that can be your Mentor. Study and really learn your craft or trade. Only then will you have the sucess that we have been blessed with.
