FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are other health providers performing acupuncture with very minimal training (as little as 100 hours). It's important to make sure that you are seeing someone who has gone through a 4-year program and has the designation L.Ac. -- Licensed Acupuncturist. Acupuncture is more than just sticking needles in the body. It is a modality that has been practiced for thousands of years and has a history behind it that must be learned, as well as, patterns, TCM diagnosis assessment and more. Also, I would advise talking with the provider before seeing them and determine whether their personality and outlook is a good match for you. If you don't feel comfortable with the person treating you, then look for another provider.
