FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) governed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). To keep the certification, I have to study different strength and coaching related research and take test. These are called continuing education credits. I have a CPR certification that is up to date.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was coming off wrist surgery while playing in college. I happen to be in a little shopping center, when I saw a sign that said batting cages and instruction. I always looking to learn and add to my swing at the time. I started with running strength classes working with kids in elementary, middle, and high school. I wanted to have a deeper understanding of the biomechanics of the swing and how to add power and more consistency. I absolutely feel in love with it and it was a great feeling helping athletes succeed by help guiding them. As I didn't get this kind of training or coaching that I was in search of.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I provide cutting edge instruction and training for serious baseball and softball clients. I use strength and conditioning exercises incorporated into sport-specific drills that help each individual or group succeed at a faster rate. I take each individual through an assessment and collaborate on goals that the parents, athlete, and instructor want to accomplish.
