- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. Our standard, comprehensive Virus Cleanup is $119, and includes removal of viruses you may see, as well as those hiding in the background. Data Transfer service is normally $99. Data Recovery (overwritten or dead hard drive, ransomware, etc), can depend on the situation and time involved, but generally runs between $200-$400. For customers concerned with Windows 10 privacy issues, we offer a 'privatizing' service for $25. Hardware pricing depends on parts and labor. These are just a few of the many services we offer; please contact us for a custom quote based on your individual needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We avoid "geek talk" to help customers understand problems and solutions. We assess the customer's needs by asking questions about the issue, including what they've observed, what type of computer and software they're using, when the problem began, and what they have already done to try to resolve it. One of the most important things we tell our customers is not to try to resolve major computer issues by yourself! Unintentional damage can be done this way. We are trained and highly skilled in computer and laptop repair, whether the issue is a software problem or physical damage. Once we identify the issue, we give the client a quote for the cost to repair their device, and an estimated completion time. We know computers are a part of everyday life, so we make every effort to get you up and running again as quickly as possible. Finally, while rare, we do let our clients know if a repair is going to be less effective than purchasing a new device outright. If that's the case, we can help you purchase new or refurbished equipment to meet your needs.
