You have a constitutional right to a trial.
Most lawyers will charge $1,000 or more, per day, for a trial. I feel that nobody should be forced to plead guilty simply because she or he can't afford what the attorney charges for trial work. Due to that belief, I almost never charge extra fees for a trial.
If you are contacting a lawyer for a quote, always ask her or him after she or he quotes you a retainer fee: "If my case goes to trial, are there extra fees, and how much?"
