The guy who actually performed the work was outstanding. Everyone who's looked at it is really impressed. He was generally good at communicating with me about the project. He listened to my requests. He was considerate. I was less impressed with the general management of the company; they failed repeatedly to show up when they said they would when I wanted to revise things that were significant. They don't need to micromanage things but some input would be helpful. Be careful in negotiating because if you are paying by the hour (which was okay), it can get out of control if THEY are retrieving materials. If at all possible, have your materials lined up or even in place. It will save a lot.

TY Laurie ! We appreciate your feedback. You bring up a good point If the home owner knows what materials to purchase and delivers them to the work site it does save time and money! On materials we purchase we must cover the costs associated. We are Bonded, our employees are Bonded, We are Licensed, We are insured and have Workman's Comp coverage as well. The cost for these items is based upon the amount we received as payment for a project. So when we get audited at the end of the year we pay for these costs based upon the amount we receive from our clients. When we receive a reimbursement for materials we are charged a percentage from our bonding and insurance carriers, we must pass that cost through to the clients, Its a cost of the job not a profit for us at all. Gary, the Finished Carpentry job did an extremely excellent job! My job required mitering molding and there were three corners that would be difficult for anyone with this experience and completed it with extreme provision. He completed the job excellently. He came on site and focus solely on the job until the work was done. Very professional. All my friends that have seen the job wants to know how I found him. I tell them call Hercules/Thumbtack. My first time with them. But have them in my contacts now! They seem to know what you ask for and send the proper skilled men to to the job!

Addition: Mike was such a fantastic leader who connected up afterwards and we discussed the job and things I would expect from a 5 star company. He knows how to run a company and I would recommend them to anyone. Changing my 4 to 5 star rating. Robert was an excellent carpenter and would not leave anything partially solved. The work was excellently priced and met every expectation.
