Introduction: Gil Gordon began his work in design in 1981 when designer Valentino "Val" Arnold recognizes something different in this high-energy 18-year-old. Gil oversaw the remodel in Valentino's Lookout Mountain residents in the Hollywood Hills, seeing the completion for all installations. Three years later, Gil was managing and buying and visual merchandising for Scruples of Beverly Hills designer Tony Chase. Next, Gil worked with Freda Payne and Marry Wilson of the Supremes for the up and coming Grammy Awards. It was at this time that Donna Solomon, owner of the Harold Lloyd Estate, approached Gil to decorate the Christmas tree room for an up and coming Barbra Walters interview and the estates annual party that had been held here since the silent screen actor had first own his home, now one of the largest homes in the 90210 area.
