- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Gold Standard $35 - $128 This service level is the foundation for all of our plans. You will receive a comprehensive report with photographs via email after every visit, along with any recommendations. Our report includes a review of the following areas of your home: check exterior doors and windows for security and caulking issues; check irrigation system and landscape; check exterior walls and eaves for cracks, peeling paint and warping; check exterior and interior rooms for indications of pests; run the garbage disposal; pick up rubbish and debris in front of home; run all water faucets, flush toilets and check for leaks and excessive running in tank; check hot water heater; check refrigerator(s) and freezer(s) temperature settings; check A/C and furnace settings; conduct monthly alarm system check; start car each visit if applicable. For monthly clients, we will also run the appliances. We recommended that you arrange for the post office to hold your mail and arrange for an interruption in newspaper service during your absence as an additional security measure. Single Visits are $35; Monthly Plan is $128. Platinum Package $15-$20 This add-on includes oversight of your pool on every visit. It is highly recommended that a professional pool service company maintains your pool if you will be gone longer than three weeks. Client needs to provide pool chemicals and have a working pool cleaner and automatic water leveler*. We will clean out the baskets, refill chlorine puck dispenser, check pool cleaner for wear and tear on parts and suction, check water chemistry for pH and phosphate levels. As a preventative measure, it is recommended that clients use an anti-phosphate additive on a weekly basis to inhibit algae growth. Single visit add-on is $20; Monthly add-on is $15. Diamond Package $12-$50 This add-on includes a proper shutdown and reopening of your home. We ask that clients schedule their home reopening event two weeks in advance of their arrival so that we may devote the appropriate amount of time to your home and allow for any necessary repairs before your return. Single visit add-on is $50; Monthly add-on is $12.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We are a family business that came into existence because when the time came for us to find people like our Type-A personality selves to watch over and alert us to potential issues at our rental properties, we just couldn't find them. We were out-of-state landlords at the mercy of whomever we could get to look at the broken part or issue. Sometimes repair techs and trades people showed up and sometimes they didn't. And when they didn't, it caused a lot of stress on us, and on family and friends who were modifying their busy schedules and trying to help. So, we took matters into our own hands believing that there are others out there like ourselves, searching for objective, reliable, dependable and trustworthy people to look after their homes, whether second homes or rental properties, for a reasonable cost.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common jobs are for homeowners with vacation properties that will be vacant for a few seasons, and the busy executive who travels frequently for several weeks at a time.
