FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For illustrations, I want both of us to have a good idea about what the final project should look like well before I start on it. I will usually provide sketches and even color mockups so that you can see what I'm picturing in my mind when you describe your story or concept. That way you can say "yes, that's good!" or "no, more like this over here" before I spend too much time on an idea that isn't what you're looking for. After the final piece is complete, you will have an opportunity for revisions, but keep in mind that extensive revisions take more time and therefore can incur additional costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Visual Communication and Design with a focus on Illustration from fully-accredited Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC). I studied drawing, painting, life drawing, photography, digital painting/drawing/vector graphics, printmaking, sculpture and jewelry making. I also taught myself to work in ink using both brush and pen. I have extensive experience with vector graphics from both my design jobs, and I have a lot of experience in photo manipulation from my time on the Advanced Customization Team at Tiny Prints and Wedding Paper Divas.
